Artificial Neural Network that Memorizes Object Names – II

Step 1. Run Program3Z.exe


Step 2. Click the “Initialize” button (Button ①) to initialize the artificial neural network. All weights of the artificial network will be initialized with random numbers in the interval [-1, 1].


Step 3. Set ‘Number of Input Pictures’ to 5. Press button ② repeatedly until the number reaches 5. When ‘5’ is chosen, the first 5 pictures in the left will be used.


Step 4. Click the “Convergence Rate” button (Button ③) repeatedly to set it to 0.1. Each time you click, one of the four specified values will appear.

Step 5. Click the “Learn” button (Button ④) several times to until the repetition time reaches 4,000. With one click, the program repeats learning 500 times.


Step 6. Click “Show Results” (Button ⑤). A screen with an image shown below should appear.


Step 7. Drag and drop one of the five pictures from the left most column. The output for this picture will appear in box number ⑧ and the two boxes below it.


Step 8. Use the “Back” button (Button ⑦) to continue the learning process.
