An Artificial Neural Network Writing Alphabet Strokes

Step 1. Run Program12Z.exe


Step 2. Click one of the English alphabets in ① and check how the writing in ⑤ changes. An artificial neural network will be trained to memorize the sequence of this writing strokes.


Step 3. Click the left square box with label ② in the center of the previous image and check that a new image will be displayed as in the following. The displayed three square boxes show how an image of size 60*50 is segmented and how the segments are numbered. One segment is of pixel size 6*6 and all segments are overlapped both in horizontal and vertical direction.

Step 4. Click the ‘Back’ button (⑤) then from the first image click the square box below ③. The following image will be displayed where you can check how the neural network is structured and what are the input and output.


Step 5. Click the ‘Top Page’ button in the above screen to go back to the first screen in this chapter. Click the square below ④, then the screen will change to the following.


Step 6. Click one of the four letters ‘b’, ’g’, ’k’, ’z’ in ③. A beginning part of the segment numbers for the selected letter ④ will be displayed in ⑤.
